The US District Court for the District of Columbia has granted a preliminary injunction permitting Revolution Wind to restart activities affected by the government’s stop-work order. The injunction will remain in place while the lawsuit challenging the order proceeds.
Revolution Wind said it will continue discussions with the US Administration and other stakeholders to seek a resolution. Construction work is expected to restart shortly, with safety prioritised. The offshore wind project is being developed by Ørsted’s subsidiary Revolution Wind, a 50/50 joint venture with Skyborn Renewables of Global Infrastructure Partners.
