Equinor partially divests shareholding in Scatec Equinor ASA has divested an 8.07 percent shareholding in Scatec ASA at a price of NOK 125 per share. Following the transaction, Equinor retains an 8.05% stake in Scatec and has agreed to a 90-day lock-up period for the remaining shares.
Total consideration amounts to around NOK 1.6 billion. Equinor first became a minority shareholder in Scatec in 2018 and increased its holding to 16.12% through purchases between 2019 and 2023. The average acquisition price was around NOK 80 per share, including dividends received.
Scatec develops, builds, owns and operates renewable energy plants, with a portfolio of 6.2 GW in operation and under construction across multiple regions.
