Windey Energy has launched the 16 MW Ultra-Large Onshore Wind Turbine R&D and Application project under the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region’s Science and Technology Innovation Major Demonstration Project. The kick-off meeting was recently held in Hohhot.
The project aims to strengthen research and development capabilities for large wind turbines, advancing innovation in land-based wind power technology and enhancing grid integration. Key objectives include breakthroughs in turbine design, blade technology, and stability control. The project will lead to the development of a 16 MW wind turbine prototype with independently owned intellectual property rights.
