Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), on behalf of its flagship fund CI V, has announced the acquisition of Liberty Renewables.
Liberty Renewables owns a portfolio comprising 1.3 GW of onshore wind projects in New York, USA. The first project, Hoffman Falls Wind, has submitted its 94-C application to New York's Office of Renewable Energy Siting and is slated to start construction in 2026. Construction for the remaining projects in the portfolio is expected to begin between 2027 and 2030.
