Masdar has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Financial Settlement Centre for Renewable Energy Sources Support for its 1 GW wind farm in the Jambyl region of Kazakhstan.
This wind farm is Masdar’s inaugural project in Kazakhstan, located in the south of the country, and features a 600-megawatt-hour (MWh) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The agreement was signed by Abdulla Zayed, Director of Business and Project Development at Masdar, and Gulzhan Nalibayeva, General Director of the Financial Settlement Centre for Renewable Energy Sources Support.
