The results of the public wind energy tender announced by the regional Government in Galicia, Spain confirm that Vestas is the preferred technology partner for wind projects representing a total capacity of 1,655MW to be installed in Galicia during the years 2012-2014 ref. the Galician wind energy plan “re-Xurde 2010”.
More than 70 per cent of the total tender capacity of 2,325MW has been awarded to 20 bidding companies which had submitted proposals exclusively with Vestas technology. Vestas will now continue the negotiations with the different companies, and the orders will be announced as they become firm and unconditional and moreover comply with Vestas' rules of disclosure.
