Ørsted has reached key milestones for both phases of its 112 MW Bahren West onshore wind project in Brandenburg, Germany. Bahren West I, with a capacity of 50.4 MW, is now the company’s largest onshore wind project in its German portfolio.
With the first phase completed, Ørsted is preparing for the second phase, the 61.6 MW Bahren West II Onshore Wind Farm, with construction set to begin in May 2025 and completion expected in 2027. The wind farms are located on the German-Polish border in the municipality of Neiße-Malxetal, Brandenburg.
