CM Energy plans European entry for CM ZenithCM Energy plans to introduce CM Zenith to the European offshore wind market from Q1 2028, following a modification and upgrade programme to meet international class, flag and operational requirements. The vessel, formerly known as CMI1600-X and currently operating in China as Zhao Shang Cheng Feng, is an offshore wind jack-up vessel. It has installed 18 MW wind turbines offshore.

Upgrade works are scheduled to begin in China in September 2026 as part of the preparation for international operations. CM Energy intends to target the installation of 11 MW and larger wind turbines in Europe. The company expects demand for suitable installation vessels to increase as larger turbines are deployed. CM Zenith will also target transition piece installation as a secondary application in Europe. This could support projects using separate vessels for monopile and transition piece installation.
