Reventus Power assumes control of Canada Pension Plan Investment Board’s (CPP Investments) offshore wind investments, becoming its dedicated global offshore wind platform.
With this move, Reventus Power has doubled its global team to approximately 50 offshore wind employees, expanded its presence in the UK, Germany, Poland, and Portugal, and appointed a new Chief Executive Officer. The incoming CEO, Michael van der Heijden, brings an 18-year track record in offshore wind acquisition, financing, and project development, previously leading Maple Power, a European offshore wind developer, since 2021. Reventus Power originates and invests in the development and long-term management of offshore wind projects worldwide, partnering with developers and pursuing opportunities across Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. The company, headquartered in London, now has offices in Hamburg and Warsaw.
