TDI-Brooks' latest dynamic positioning (DP) vessel, the RV Nautilus, has arrived on the East Coast of the USA. Measuring 75 meters in length and built in 2000, the vessel reached the US East Coast on March 3rd.
After undergoing a 6-month retrofit in Las Palmas, it will now provide support for offshore wind projects and various other subsea needs. The vessel is equipped with TDI-Brooks’ geotechnical tool kit, including a Geomil Manta-200 CPT deployable through the mid-ship moonpool of the Nautilus. This system can penetrate the soil up to 40-50 meters, depending on its composition, providing valuable data for identifying optimal locations and designs for offshore developments like wind farms.
