OceanX, the floating wind power platform developed by Mingyang Smart Energy, has reached its tower lifting stage.The floating platform has a total capacity of 16.6MW, featuring two counter-rotating rotors of MySE8.3-180 hybrid drive wind turbines. The V-shaped tower, with long and elliptical cross-sections, provides additional yawing power, enhancing production efficiency and reducing ultimate load. Inside the tower, both a lift and stair are installed for easy access. Pre-tensioned guy ropes are utilised to share the gravity load of the tower, enabling a lightweight structure.
