Balmoral Comtec awarded contract by Ørsted for Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm

Balmoral Comtec has secured a contract to supply 400 cable protection systems (CPS) for Ørsted's Hornsea 3 project, situated 120 kilometres off the Norfolk coast in the UK.

 

The scope of work includes design engineering at Balmoral Comtec’s Aberdeen facility, the supply of 400 cable protection systems, and provision of handling and installation training to the marine contractor awarded the project. Hornsea 3, owned and operated by Ørsted, is anticipated to commence operations by 2027.
