HD Hyundai Electric has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Pacifico Energy Korea, CS Wind, Korea Ocean Engineering & Consultants, and Daebul Shipbuilding to collaboratively develop offshore wind farms in Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do.
The 3.2GW project comprises three offshore wind farms situated off the coast of Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, in the southwest of South Korea. Pacifico Energy will oversee equity investment and overall business development, while HD Hyundai Electric will provide wind turbines and power equipment for offshore substations. They will also share responsibilities for wind towers and substructures, submarine cable installation, and maintenance.
