0579 SMST IllustrationDeutsche Offshore has chosen SMST to supply key equipment for its fleet of Construction and Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (C-CSOV), including the Telescopic Access Bridge (TAB-L2) gangway system and a 50-tonne Offshore Knuckle Boom Crane (KBC-L) with 3D motion compensation.

The fully integrated TAB-L2 gangway system includes a tower with an 18-metre vertical stroke, enabling 100 percent horizontal access at heights ranging from 12 to 30 metres above the waterline. The system will also feature automatic landing and a condition-based monitoring system (CBM) to support safe and efficient operations.

The KBC-L crane will have a 50-tonne active heave compensation (AHC) lifting capacity in construction mode, allowing the vessels to take on additional offshore wind installation tasks. In 3D motion compensation mode, the crane will be capable of lifting up to 10 tonnes to a height of 30 metres.
