The neighbouring Norrbäck and Pauträsk wind projects in Sweden, which form Vattenfall's largest onshore wind energy endeavour to date, have been granted their final environmental permit.
This means Vattenfall now has the necessary approvals for the proposed wind farm, comprising up to 111 turbines with a maximum output of 530 MW. Located in the municipalities of Lycksele (Norrbäck) and Vilhelmina and Storuman (Pauträsk), the next step for these projects involves detailed planning to refine the park designs. An investment decision is expected in 2025, with construction potentially starting in 2026.
