Nordex has secured its first order in Spain for the supply of N175/6.X turbines. Madrid-based independent power producer Abei Energy has ordered eight units for the 50 MW Avellanosa wind farm in the Castile and León region, northwest of Burgos.
The order also includes a 20-year service agreement for turbine maintenance. Nordex will deliver and install the turbines on tubular steel towers with a hub height of 119 metres. Installation is scheduled to begin in late summer 2026, with commissioning planned for early 2027.
