RWE has secured 151 MW of prorated capacity in the latest onshore wind tender published by the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), which awarded a total of 930 MW at an average price of €87.61 per megawatt-hour.
RWE’s seven successful projects represent a combined total capacity of 183 MW. Five projects are fully owned by RWE, while two are being co-developed—one with Vent du Nord and the other with Escofi.
The awarded projects will install 35 wind turbines across four French regions: Centre-Val de Loire, Grand Est, Hauts-de-France, and Normandy. The first turbines could be commissioned in 2027, with further installations expected in 2028.
