Vestas and LEAG have finalised an agreement for a 105 MW order for the wind energy project 'Forst-Briesnig II' in the Lausitz region of Germany. Vestas will deliver 17 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines, with the order covering the supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines.

Upon completion, the turbines will be serviced by Vestas under a 20-year service agreement. Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025, with commissioning scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2026.

Additionally, Vestas has secured a 114 MW order from SAB WindTeam for the wind energy project Ahlum-Dettum in Lower Saxony, Germany. For this project, Vestas will deliver 17 V162-6.2 MW and two V136-4.2 MW wind turbines. The order includes the supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines. Upon completion, Vestas will service the turbines under a 25-year service agreement. Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025, with commissioning scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2025.

In Türkiye, Vestas has received a 45 MW order from an unnamed customer. The contract includes the supply and installation of 10 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines, as well as a 15-year service agreement. Turbine delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2025, with commissioning expected to take place in the second half of 2025.

Furthermore, renewable energy producer African Clean Energy Developments (ACED) has placed a 144 MW order for the Umsinde Emoyeni wind farm, to be located in Western Cape, South Africa. The contract encompasses the supply and installation of 32 V163-4.5 MW wind turbines, along with a 10-year service agreement. Turbine delivery is expected by the first half of 2025, and commissioning is planned for the first half of 2026.

In addition, Vestas has secured a 99 MW order from Aquila Clean Energy to deliver a full engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solution for the wind energy project Akmene II in Lithuania. Aside from the delivery and installation of the wind turbines, Vestas is also responsible for the project’s civil and electrical works. The project consists of 16 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines together with a 35-year service agreement. This project is an extension of the Akmene I 74 MW EPC project, which includes 12 V162-6.2 MW turbines that were commissioned in 2023. Construction is expected to start at the end of 2024, with turbine delivery and commissioning expected in the first quarter of 2026.

Moreover, Vestas has received a 63 MW order from Kangal Energy, Is Portföy Infrastructure VCIF, and Is Portfoy Renewable Energy VCIF to extend the five existing wind parks of Kangal, Bereketli, Akyurt, Karaçayir, and Konakpinar. These wind parks are located in Sivas and Tokat, Türkiye. The contract includes the supply and installation of a total of 12 V150-4.5 MW wind turbines and two V136-4.5 MW wind turbines, as well as a 10-year service agreement. Turbine delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2025, with commissioning expected to take place in the second half of 2025.

In Argentina, Vestas has received an order for an undisclosed wind project. The order includes the supply and installation of 21 V150-4.5 MW turbines. Upon completion, Vestas will also deliver a 30-year service agreement. Turbine delivery is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025, with commissioning scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Finally, Vestas has received an 84 MW order to repower an undisclosed wind project in the USA. The repower order consists of 38 V110-2.2 MW turbines. The orders include the supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a multi-year service agreement. Turbine delivery begins in the third quarter of 2025, with commissioning scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.
