Iberdrola reports 9.7% increase in electricity distribution in first quarter of 2026

Iberdrola supplied 68,645 GWh of electricity in the first quarter of 2026, a 9.7% increase compared with the same period the previous year. By country, the United Kingdom recorded the largest increase, with distributed energy rising by 72.6% to 14,687 GWh. In Spain, distribution reached 23,462 GWh, while Brazil accounted for 20,485 GWh and the United States for 10,012 GWh.
Onyx Insight launches ecoBlade for wind turbine blade monitoring

Onyx Insight has launched ecoBlade, a condition monitoring system designed to provide ongoing insight into wind turbine blade behaviour and condition. ecoBlade monitors blade health from within each individual blade. Using two three-axis accelerometer sensors per blade, the system can detect cracks, structural issues and other forms of damage.
GE Vernova to supply 91.5 MW for Santa María de las Fuentes wind farm in Spain

GE Vernova has signed an agreement to supply 15 of its 6.1 MW-158m wind turbines for the Santa María de las Fuentes wind farm in Spain, developed by Renovalia. The order, totalling 91.5 MW, was booked in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Vineyard Wind secures court injunction against GE Vernova in offshore project dispute

A court in the USA has granted Vineyard Wind a preliminary injunction preventing GE Vernova from halting work on the Vineyard Wind offshore wind project at the end of April. In a ruling, the court ordered that GE Vernova must continue its involvement in the project on a temporary basis while the underlying contractual dispute is addressed. The injunction maintains the current situation until further legal proceedings determine the merits of the case.
Partrac expands V LiDAR fleet for offshore wind measurement

TenneT transports large transformers to Maasvlakte converter station in Rotterdam

TenneT has completed the transport of the first three large transformers. Each unit weighs up to 400 tonnes and stands more than seven metres tall. Last Saturday night, the transformers were moved from the container terminal to the converter station, where they have now been positioned.
