Saipem has unveiled Star1, its proprietary floating offshore wind foundation. The steel semi-submersible structure has a star-shaped design with three arms converging at the centre, supporting next-generation turbines, including those over 20 MW. The design aims to reduce turbine movement and optimise loads on the mooring lines anchoring it to the seabed.
