We4Ce, a Dutch rotor blade design company, has completed validation tests in India for its new 2.5-3MW rotor blade, developed for Suzlon. The blade structure was designed in the Netherlands, while InDutch Composites Technology produced the mould and prototype in Vadodara, Gujarat, where Suzlon conducted load and fatigue testing.

Penta-Ocean Construction (POC) (Japan) has commissioned Ulstein Design & Solutions to develop a heavy lift vessel tailored for offshore wind foundation installation. The vessel will feature the customised Ulstein HX118 design, equipped with a 5,000-ton Huisman main crane and the Ulstein U-Stern.

CRRC has installed the prototype of its 20MW floating offshore wind turbine, named Qihang, at the Dongying wind power testing and certification innovation base in Shandong Province, China. The Qihang turbine features a rotor diameter of 260 metres and a hub height of 151 metres.

Nordex has installed its first N175/6.X turbine on a concrete-steel hybrid tower at Santow, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. The tower, with a hub height of 179 metres, was designed by Nordex and includes a 119-metre-high concrete base developed from its concrete tower technology used for over 15 years.

Nooteboom has expanded its trailer range with the new Mega Windmill Trailer XXL (MWT-XXL), specifically designed for transporting wind turbine tower segments. The MWT-XXL accommodates tower sections with inner diameters ranging from approximately 2850mm to 6100mm, without requiring modifications to the mounting frame. This flexibility is achieved through a double, hydraulically height-adjustable A-frame and a three-point load clamping system.
