Suzlon has announced the launch of its S175 wind turbine, rated at 5 MW, following its commissioning at Vijayanagar in Karnataka, India. The S175 features a 175-metre rotor, a 160-metre hybrid lattice tower and a blade tip height of 247.5 metres.
The turbine incorporates aerodynamic blade design, carbon girder blade technology and advanced control systems aimed at improving energy production and operational performance.
