Global floating wind capacity rises 13% in one year

RenewableUK’s latest EnergyPulse Insights Floating Offshore Wind report shows that global floating wind capacity has increased by 13% over the past twelve months, reaching 277 MW, up from 245 MW a year earlier. The sector is projected to expand nearly tenfold to 2,500 MW by 2030.
Nordex receives turbine orders from DenkerWulf in Germany

The Nordex Group has received three orders from DenkerWulf for a total of 25 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 122.7 MW. Nordex will also provide maintenance services for all turbines under a 20-year contract.
Eneco selects Deutsche Windtechnik for Prinses Amalia wind park maintenance

Eneco has appointed Deutsche Windtechnik as its new maintenance partner for the Prinses Amalia wind park, located about 25 kilometres off IJmuiden in the Dutch North Sea. The partnership will begin in January 2026 and continue until the wind farm reaches the end of its operational life.
Van Oord completes first monopile installations at Nordseecluster A

Van Oord’s offshore wind installation vessel Boreas has completed the installation of 45 monopiles at Nordseecluster A, the first phase of the 1.6 GW offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.
Enercon transports turbine components by push barge for the first time

Enercon and logistics partner Rhenus have used the new push barge Rhenus Berlin I for the first time to transport wind turbine components via inland waterways. Steel tower sections for Enercon E-138 EP3 and E-115 EP3 turbines were loaded onto the 100-metre-long vessel at the Port of Emden and transported by water to the project area.
REFRESH project develops blade section using recycled materials

As part of the European REFRESH project, CETMA and Gjenkraft have produced a wind turbine blade section partly made from recycled materials recovered from end-of-life blades. The section was manufactured by ÉireComposites in Ireland and incorporates a non-woven mat made from pyrolysed glass fibres recovered through Gjenkraft’s process in Høyanger, Norway.
Ilmatar completes Pahkakoski wind farm in Finland

Ilmatar has started commercial electricity production at its new wind farm in Ii, Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland. The Pahkakoski project consists of 30 turbines with a combined capacity of 186 MW.
MunmuBaram completes marine traffic safety review for offshore wind project

Brazil invites investment in first offshore wind pilot project
