The US federal government has filed an appeal against a district court ruling in a multi-state lawsuit over wind energy policy. The notice was submitted on 17 February 2026. The case, State of New York, et al. v. Donald J. Trump, et al. (Civil Action No. 1:25-cv-11221-PBS), was originally decided on 18 December 2025 in the District of Massachusetts.
India and UK launch offshore wind taskforce

India and the United Kingdom have launched the India–UK Offshore Wind Taskforce to accelerate cooperation in offshore wind development as part of their clean energy partnership under Vision 2035. The taskforce has been established to provide strategic leadership and coordination for building India’s offshore wind ecosystem. The UK brings experience in scaling offshore wind and developing mature supply chains, while India offers scale, long-term demand and a rapidly growing clean energy market.
Nordlicht I offshore wind farm monopiles and transition pieces completed in Germany

The first monopiles and transition pieces for the Nordlicht I offshore wind farm have been completed by EEW and CS Wind. Each monopile measures up to 80.5 metres in length and weighs up to 1,290 tonnes. The transition pieces, which connect the foundations to the tower structures, reach 23.7 metres in height and weigh around 362 tonnes.
Five firms seek Enova support for floating wind demonstration projects in Norway

GT Wings secures Lloyd’s Register verification for AirWing sea trials methodology

GT Wings has obtained verification from Lloyd's Register for the sea trials performance assessment methodology of its AirWing Jet Sail technology, a wind propulsion system for vessels. The verification follows around ten months of commercial operation of a 20-metre AirWing installed on the MV Vectis Progress, a general cargo vessel operated by Carisbrooke Shipping. The system was installed in March 2025.

TGS signs brokerage agreement for offshore wind measurement data in Northern Europe
