Haventus, owner of the under-construction Ardersier Energy Transition Facility near Inverness, Scotland, has been chosen by Cerulean Winds, the lead developer of over 3GW of UK floating offshore wind capacity, as its deployment port.
Cerulean Winds' first project, the Aspen development—a 1GW floating wind farm in the Central North Sea, approximately 100 km offshore—aims to deliver first power between 2028 and 2029.
Ardersier is set to become the UK's first floating offshore wind manufacturing hub, creating hundreds of jobs and establishing a critical industrial base. The facility will support the production and servicing of floating foundations. The Ardersier Energy Transition Facility has secured £400 million in funding, including a £100 million credit facility from the UK National Wealth Fund and the Scottish National Investment Bank.
Cerulean Winds, with exclusive seabed leases and established contractor relationships, is leading the development of three 1GW floating wind farms: Aspen, Cedar, and Beech. These projects will provide power to industrial users and export capacity.
Haventus, an energy transition facilities provider, is driving the development of essential port infrastructure on Scotland’s North Sea coast, transforming Ardersier Port into a hub for the offshore wind sector.
