Hellenic Cables, in consortium with Asso.subsea, has been awarded a turnkey contract by Réseau de Transport d’Électricité (RTE) for the Dunkerque Offshore Wind Farm. The project, with a planned capacity of 500–600 MW, will include two 225 kV high-voltage alternating current (HVAC) export cable links to connect the wind farm to the French grid.
Hellenic Cables will design, manufacture, and supply 32 km of submarine cables and 38 km of underground cables for the tri-phase double underground link. The company will also provide cable accessories, carry out on-site jointing, testing, and termination, and oversee commissioning. Asso.subsea will handle transportation, laying, and protection of the submarine cables.
