The US National Safety Council (NSC) has presented Ryan Severe of Puget Sound Energy (PSE) with the 2025 Green Cross for Safety Innovation Award. Severe was recognised for his work with Sytis’ TC-90 bi-spectral card camera in PSE’s wind turbine electrical panels. Used in combination with Sytis’ InfraSpec software, the compact embedded camera allows real-time, remote monitoring of electrical components to detect issues at an early stage.

Avincis, a European emergency aerial services operator, has entered the offshore wind sector through the acquisition of Denmark-based KN Helicopters. KN Helicopters has provided helicopter services to offshore wind projects since 2016, working under contract with wind farm owners and operators.

Cadeler has announced the delivery of its first A-class wind installation vessel, Wind Ally, expanding its fleet to nine vessels in operation. Following mobilisation, the vessel will begin work installing monopile foundations at Ørsted’s Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm in the North Sea. For the first time, Cadeler will carry out the full transport and installation scope for offshore monopile foundations.

TenneT Holding has agreed with three institutional investors to secure equity for TenneT Germany, its high-voltage transmission business. The investors are APG, on behalf of Dutch pension fund ABP, Singapore sovereign wealth fund GIC, and Norges Bank Investment Management. The transaction will help TenneT and its sole shareholder, the Dutch state, fund the expansion of TenneT Germany’s grid over the coming years.
