Mooreast has announced plans to work with Sime Darby Joy Industries, a subsidiary of Sime Darby Berhad, to explore offshore-related business opportunities, including in renewable energy in Malaysia. Under a non-binding indicative term sheet between Mooreast’s subsidiary, Mooreast Asia Pte. Ltd, and Sime Darby Joy, the parties aim to develop and deliver products for offshore renewable energy, deep-sea offshore equipment and systems, and related services.

Windward Offshore has taken delivery of its second commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV), Windward Paris. The vessel was built by Vard in Norway and will enter charter immediately to support construction activities at an offshore wind farm in the German Bight. Windward Paris is based on the Vard 4 19 design and is purpose built for offshore wind installation, commissioning and operations and maintenance work. The vessel has a length of 87.5 metres and a beam of 19.5 metres, with accommodation for up to 120 personnel.
