PD Ports has set out plans for the Teesport Offshore Gateway following the Crown Estate’s Round 6 offshore wind leasing announcement, positioning the site as a potential base for future project development. Located on the River Tees, the proposed facility would support manufacturing, assembly and deployment activities for fixed and floating offshore wind. The central North Sea lease areas, expected to bring around 6 GW of capacity to market, are situated relatively close to the Tees.

Deme reported stable activity in offshore wind in 2025, with its Offshore Energy segment delivering higher turnover supported by ongoing projects in the USA, Europe and Asia. In the USA, work progressed on the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project, where installation of 176 monopile foundations was completed, alongside ongoing substation and cable installation activities. Installation work also continued on Vineyard Wind, with cable operations at Empire Wind 1.

Next Geosolutions has reported its financial results for 2025, showing continued growth supported by offshore wind, interconnector and subsea activities. Offshore wind accounted for 19.3% of revenues, with activity focused on site investigation, geotechnical and geophysical surveys, and installation support. The group contributed to projects including Courseulles-sur-Mer in France and the Doordewind 1–2 developments in Northern Europe, part of TenneT’s 2 GW offshore grid programme.

Van Oord recorded strong results in 2025, driven by its offshore energy and renewable infrastructure activities. Fleet investments in 2025 included Boreas, the company’s latest offshore wind installation vessel, as well as two new flexible fallpipe vessels, the first of which is expected to enter service in 2028. These additions strengthen Van Oord’s capabilities in offshore wind installation, subsea rock placement, and climate adaptation projects.

Mark Offshore has reached an agreement with Klaipėda University to operate the research vessel r/v Mintis. Under the agreement, Klaipėda University has appointed Mark Offshore as commercial and operational manager for activities in the renewables and energy sectors. Originally designed as a scientific research vessel, r/v Mintis combines research capabilities with offshore functionality, providing a platform suitable for both survey and subsea support work.
