FairWind has announced three senior appointments across its blade and service operations in Europe. Flemming Jensen has joined the company as Head of Blades for the Northern and Central Europe (NCE) region, while José Luis Perales Bañón has been appointed Head of Service for the Mediterranean (MED) region. Maicon Luis Pinheiro de Almeida has taken on the role of Blades Manager in the MED region.

Sif has provided an update on the offshore wind project for which it is currently in exclusive negotiations and has revised its production outlook for 2026. In recent months, the project developer, government authorities, Sif and other supply chain partners have worked to address challenges affecting the North Sea project. These discussions have created a basis for the project to progress towards a final investment decision.

A new Offshore Skills Academy in Montrose is set to receive funding from the Tay Cities Industrial Investment Programme, which sits alongside the Tay Cities Region Deal. Following approval of the full business case by the Scottish Government and the Tay Cities Region Joint Committee, the Montrose Port Skills Academy (MPSA) will provide specialist facilities and training programmes for workers seeking to enter or transition into the renewables sector.

Following the localisation of rotor blade production, Enercon will also manufacture generators and hybrid steel towers for the E-175 EP5 E2 in Türkiye. Under the agreements, ATEŞ Wind Power will manufacture generators for projects in Türkiye at its facility in Bergama, İzmir Province. The expansion is expected to create 300 new jobs at the site and support additional employment among regional suppliers.
