ScottishPower Renewables, part of the Iberdrola Group, has awarded HSM Offshore Energy an EPCIC (engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning) contract for the offshore substation and jacket foundation of the East Anglia TWO wind farm.
HSM Offshore Energy will deliver a 5,100-tonne offshore high-voltage substation and a 3,700-tonne jacket foundation for the 960 MW project, located in the southern North Sea. Construction is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025, with the jacket due for installation in the third quarter of 2027 and the topside by late 2027.
The East Anglia TWO offshore wind farm will be situated approximately 33 kilometres off the Suffolk coast near Southwold, and around 37 kilometres from Lowestoft.
