Kent has been granted a contract by Spiorad na Mara Limited for the pre-front end engineering design (Pre-FEED) assessment of the proposed Spiorad na Mara offshore wind farm.
Formerly known as N4, the project is situated approximately 5-13 kilometres off the west coast of the Isle of Lewis and is owned by Northland Power (75.5%) and ESB (24.5%), with Northland leading the development, construction, and operation. The potential capacity of the wind farm is around 900 MW. Kent will conduct an assessment for the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) foundation concept, selection, and foundation sizing.
