LatWind deploys ZX 300 wind Lidar for EDF Chile in Patagonia

LatWind has deployed a ZX 300 wind Lidar to support a large wind measurement campaign for EDF power solutions Chile in South Patagonia. The project will capture wind data across complex terrain, improving wind flow modelling and reducing resource uncertainty during the development of a large-scale wind energy project.
Equinor to maintain 10% stake in Ørsted through Rights Issue

Federal government reconsiders SouthCoast Wind permit amid Nantucket appeal

The US Department of Justice has asked a federal court to pause Nantucket’s appeal against the SouthCoast Wind permit while the government reconsiders its approval. The Town of Nantucket supports the move, having previously argued that the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) failed to comply with federal environmental and cultural protection laws. SouthCoast Wind opposes the pause.
WindEurope reports slower wind build-out in 2025 despite rising investments

WindEurope data show that Europe added 6.8 GW of new wind capacity in the first half of 2025, including 5.3 GW in the EU. Most of this was onshore wind (89%). Europe’s total installed wind capacity now stands at 291 GW, with 254 GW onshore and 37 GW offshore.
Amprion commissions Tüv Süd for BalWin1 and BalWin2 platforms
