UKA (Umweltgerechte Kraftanlagen) has placed an order for an additional 39 turbines with the German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex. The turbines from the N149/5.X, N163/5.X, and N163/6.X series are expected to generate a combined capacity of 253MW once operational.
Nordex will also handle the turbine servicing for a period of 20 years. These turbines are set to be installed in 2025 across several federal states including Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse, Saxony-Anhalt, and Brandenburg. With this recent order, UKA has acquired a total of 450 MW of wind turbines from Nordex in the last three months. In March 2024, UKA announced its successful participation in the "Wind on Land" tender round by the Federal Network Agency in February. Approximately 18% (321.1 MW) of the awarded projects belong to the Group's portfolio.
