Taiwan to allocate 3.6 GW in phase 3 offshore wind block development

Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs has presented the draft selection mechanism for phase 3 of the offshore wind block development programme. The government plans to release 3.6 GW of offshore wind capacity, with projects scheduled to connect to the grid between 2030 and 2031. The final selection rules are expected to be formally announced in the first quarter of 2026.
Envision Energy signs wind turbine supply agreement with Casa dos Ventos in Brazil

Envision Energy has signed a wind turbine supply agreement with Casa dos Ventos covering a total capacity of 630 MW, alongside a 30-year long-term service agreement. Under the agreement, Envision will supply customised 8.x MW wind turbines for projects in Brazil.
Germany publishes results of november 2025 onshore wind auction

The German Bundesnetzagentur has published the award results of the onshore wind auction held on 1 November 2025. A total volume of 3,450 MW was offered in the auction. In total, 905 bids with a combined capacity of 8,155 MW were submitted. As a result, 415 bids with an awarded capacity of 3,456 MW were successful. A further 37 bids were excluded from the procedure.
Germany reports renewable electricity capacity growth in 2025

The German Bundesnetzagentur has released preliminary figures on growth in renewable electricity generation capacity in 2025. Total installed renewable capacity increased by nearly 21 GW to just under 210 GW, representing a year-on-year increase of 11 per cent. The increase was mainly driven by solar and wind energy.

FairWind awarded installation contract for Sanquhar II wind farm
