New York and six states sue Trump administration over offshore wind lease cancellation

New York Attorney General Letitia James and Governor Kathy Hochul have announced a lawsuit challenging the Trump administration's cancellation of an offshore wind lease off the coast of New York. The lawsuit, filed by a coalition of seven states, argues that the US Department of the Interior unlawfully cancelled the lease held by Attentive Energy, a subsidiary of TotalEnergies, and a separate offshore wind lease off the coast of North Carolina.
Siemens Energy agrees to acquire grid technology company Camlin Group

Siemens Energy has reached an agreement to acquire Camlin Group, a Northern Ireland-based provider of grid monitoring, analytics and asset digitalisation technologies. The acquisition will expand Siemens Energy's digital grid portfolio as electricity network operators increase investment in grid modernisation to accommodate growing electricity demand, rising electrification and the increasing integration of renewable energy sources.
European Energy sells Dutch wind portfolio to Westra

Triton Partners to acquire Flender from Carlyle

Carlyle has agreed to sell Flender, a supplier of mechanical drive technology for industrial and wind energy applications, to Triton Fund 6, advised by Triton Partners. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Inch Cape completes monopile installation at Scottish offshore wind farm

Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm has completed the installation of all 54 monopile foundations at its project site in the North Sea off the coast of Scotland. Installation work began in December 2025, with Jan De Nul's heavy-lift vessel Les Alizés transporting monopiles from the Port of Leith in Edinburgh and installing them across the site.
