Eiffage awarded contract by RTE for three offshore substations in France

Eiffage, through Smulders (Eiffage Métal’s Belgian subsidiary), has been awarded an EPCIC contract by RTE, France’s transmission system operator, for the design and construction of three alternating current substations. The substations will serve the Bretagne Sud (AO5), Narbonnaise Sud-Hérault and Golfe de Fos (AO6) offshore wind farms, as well as their planned extensions (A09).
Japan identifies new areas for offshore wind development

Japan has designated two new areas for offshore wind development. The government has identified waters off Akita City in the north and Hibikinada, near Fukuoka in the south, as ‘promising zones’ for future offshore wind farms. Under Japan’s regulatory framework, sites progress from ‘preparatory’ to ‘promising’ and finally to ‘promotion zones’, the stage preceding auction and full-scale development.

Nordex receives orders from Okko Group in Ukraine

Pacifico Energy Korea secures licence for 420MW Myeong Ryang offshore wind project

OS Energy adopts Sonardyne Sprint-Nav DP for offshore vessels

OS Energy has adopted Sonardyne’s Sprint-Nav DP dynamic positioning (DP) reference system to support its marine renewable energy projects in the North and Baltic Seas.
