Mammoet to support Heerema with offshore installation for TenneT 2GW programme

Mammoet has signed a contract to support Heerema Marine Contractors in the offshore installation of two topsides for TenneT’s 2GW programme. As part of the work scope, Mammoet will assist in floatover preparations by skidding the topsides from a heavy transport vessel onto Heerema’s newly built H-731 barge, using hydraulic skid shoes.
Rosenxt expands subsea capabilities with acquisition of Beam assets

Rosenxt UK, part of Switzerland-based Rosenxt Holding, has acquired selected assets and staff from Rovco, also operating as "Beam", a subsea robotics and engineering company previously based in Bristol and Aberdeen. Beam was formed in 2024 through the merger of Rovco and Vaarst but ceased operations in May 2025.
Germany awards 3,447MW in May 2025 onshore wind auction

The Bundesnetzagentur has published the results of its latest onshore wind and innovation auction, which closed for bids on 1 May 2025. The tender offered a total volume of 3,443MW, attracting 568 bids with a combined capacity of 4,972MW. Of these, 372 bids totalling 3,447MW were awarded contracts. Fifteen bids were disqualified from the process.
Alterric awarded contracts for all submitted projects in German onshore wind auction

In the May auction for onshore wind energy held by the Federal Network Agency, Alterric secured approvals for all the projects it submitted. The company will now move ahead with the development of eleven wind farms, totalling approximately 340MW—representing around 10% of the total awarded capacity in this round.
UK Government outlines strategy to accelerate onshore wind deployment

The UK Government has published its Onshore Wind Strategy, setting out how it aims to significantly expand onshore wind energy capacity as part of its broader Clean Power 2030 targets. The strategy outlines more than 40 joint actions by government and industry designed to deliver between 27GW and 29GW of onshore wind capacity by 2030—almost doubling the current installed capacity of 14.8GW.

KGAL has sold the 130MW Bäckhammar Wind Farm in Sweden, around six years after acquiring the project through its KGAL ESPF 4 fund. The wind farm comprises 31 turbines and has been acquired by Aneo, a Norwegian developer and operator of renewable energy facilities.
