Max Bögl Wind AG is constructing a wind turbine near its headquarters in Sengenthal in Bavaria, Germany, using a hybrid tower design for onshore wind applications. The turbine, supplied by Vestas, has an installed capacity of 7.2 MW, a hub height of 199 metres and a total height of 285 metres.
Foundation works have been completed and construction is continuing, with commissioning planned for autumn 2026. The foundation uses a cast-in-place concrete design with additional ground stabilisation due to local soil conditions.
The turbine is expected to generate around 17 to 18 GWh of electricity per year. Part of the output will be used at the nearby production site, with the remainder fed into the public grid.
The project uses Max Bögl Wind’s modular hybrid tower system, designed to enable higher hub heights for onshore wind turbines.
