Ocean Winds completes turbine installation at EFGL floating wind project in France

Ocean Winds (OW), the offshore wind company formed by EDP Renewables and ENGIE, has completed installation of the third and final turbine at the Éoliennes Flottantes du Golfe du Lion (EFGL) project. Developed with Banque des Territoires, EFGL is the first floating offshore wind farm in the Occitanie region to finish turbine installation.
Jeollanam-do delegation visits Port of Bilbao to explore offshore wind cooperation

A delegation from the Provincial Government of Jeollanam-do, South Korea, has visited the Port of Bilbao to learn about its initiatives in energy transition, offshore wind, hydrogen and synthetic fuels. The group was welcomed by Andima Ormaetxe, Director of Operations, Commerce and Logistics of the Bilbao Port Authority, who presented projects such as BilbOPS, which will supply renewable shore power to vessels from 2027 with support from the Connecting Europe Facility, the European Investment Bank and the Port Authority.

Fugro trials heat flow probe for Ørsted offshore wind project in Australia

Fugro has completed a site investigation for Ørsted at a planned offshore wind farm landing site on Victoria’s eastern coast, Australia. The project marked the first onshore use of Fugro’s Heat Flow Module (HFM) cone penetration test (CPT) probe, which records thermal soil properties alongside standard CPT data.

Spie Wind Connect awarded inter-array cable contract for TPC Phase II offshore wind farm

WindFloat technology surpasses 1 TWh of cumulative power production

Principle Power reports that floating offshore wind projects using its WindFloat technology have generated more than 1 terawatt-hour (TWh) of electricity since WindFloat 1 was connected to the grid in 2011. These floating wind farms have experienced waves of up to 20 meters and winds of up to 214 Km/h (equivalent to a Category 4 typhoon).
Mammoet supports Nordseecluster A and Thor offshore wind projects

Mammoet has managed the handling and transport of 116 XL monopile foundations for the Nordseecluster A (Germany) and Thor (Denmark) offshore wind projects, which together are expected to deliver up to 2.6 GW. These joint projects are developed by RWE (51%) and Norges Bank Investment Management (49%).
Inga Dransfeld-Haase joins Tüv Nord AG Board of Management

Dransfeld-Haase is a lawyer with extensive experience in senior HR roles.
