Mitsubishi Corporation (Mitsubishi) is reassessing its business plans for offshore wind projects in Japan due to significant changes in the macroeconomic environment. The projects, developed by a consortium led by its subsidiary Mitsubishi Corporation Offshore Wind Ltd., are located in three areas: Noshiro, Mitane, and Oga in Akita Prefecture; Yurihonjo in Akita Prefecture; and Choshi in Chiba Prefecture.

Celtic Sea Power (CSP) has received funding from The Crown Estate’s £50 million Supply Chain Accelerator to support the development of a new Offshore Co-ordination Centre. Dominion Energy's 2.6 GW Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project is now about 50% complete and remains on track for completion by the end of 2026. The project has created 2,000 direct and indirect jobs and contributed $2 billion to the economy.

The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities has decided not to proceed with an award in the state's fourth offshore wind solicitation, according to its president, Christine Guhl-Sadovy. "There were three initial bidders in the fourth solicitation. However, two bidders withdrew, and only Atlantic Shores submitted a best and final offer," she stated.

Amazon and Iberdrola have added 476MW of renewable energy power purchase agreements (PPAs) to their global partnership, expanding their collaboration to five countries. The new agreements include Amazon’s first PPA in Portugal, securing 219MW from the Tâmega Wind Complex, which is scheduled to begin construction in early 2025.
