GE Vernova has signed an agreement to supply Forestalia with eight 6.1 MW turbines for a 49 MW onshore wind project in Aragón, Spain. The turbines feature 158-metre rotors and are part of GE Vernova’s 6 MW platform.

RWE has signed a 20-year renewable power purchase agreement (PPA) with French pharmaceutical company Sanofi. The contract, which took effect in early 2025, secures the supply of 21 GWh of electricity per year.

Deutsche Offshore has chosen SMST to supply key equipment for its fleet of Construction and Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (C-CSOV), including the Telescopic Access Bridge (TAB-L2) gangway system and a 50-tonne Offshore Knuckle Boom Crane (KBC-L) with 3D motion compensation.

Port Esbjerg and Norwegian port operator WindPort have formed a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening their role in Norway’s offshore wind sector. The collaboration brings together Esbjerg’s experience in offshore logistics with WindPort’s location and ambition to become the primary marshalling hub for the Sørlige Nordsjø II (SNII) project.

The UK Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Ed Miliband MP, has granted a Development Consent Order (DCO) for the Rampion 2 Offshore Wind Farm, which is being developed off the coast of Sussex. The project, an extension of the existing Rampion Offshore Wind Farm, is being led by RWE on behalf of its joint venture partners.
